Mountain Hunter™ Super Wide

I ordered a custom pair of mountain hunters due to my extra wide foot. Immediately noticed the quality of workmanship and comfort. After wearing them for a few months decided to give them a break for a day to let them dry out on the boot dryer due to how sweaty I had gotten them after a hard day of hunting.
That’s when I really noticed the deference in just how much better they fit my foot and how comfortable they really were. The boots that I wore the day I gave my Lathrop’s a break where high end Italian leather hunting boots that used to be my go to for the last 10 years. My entire life I have struggled with finding a boot that fits my foot and my feet hurting had just became normal. The only problem is now I don’t wanna wear any other type of shoe. My wife thinks I’m ridiculous because I try to clean them up on Sundays so that I can wear them to church. If you have problems with boot fitment or just overall comfort I promise you it will be well worth the extra money for the custom boots from Lathrop & Sons.

I'm not a hunter, but I've been looking for high-volume (wide and high instep) mountaineering boots for a decade. I knew the second I tried these on that they were what I've been searching for. They aren't cheap, of course, but they are worth it to me. Also, the company had them to my door two days after I ordered them.

I bought 6 pair of x wide popular boots but none fit my 4E feet. I don't hunt but got these for hikes. I've only done one hike but they were VERY comfortable out of the box! Zero break in required. It's an investment that's well worth it.

Right out of the box the quality and design stands out as exceptional and then you put them on and it gets even better. These boots showed up right before my alpine mule deer hunt in bc and I had no time to break them in so I walked around the block a few times and decided to take them out. I put 85 miles or 137km on this trip in the mountains and they were everything I had ever dreamed of on the 9 previous pairs of boots that I had bought that were either to narrow or to soft of a sole. I can pretty much throw all the other boots I own out because they will never get used again this boot is basically perfect and built to maximum quality. I have. 4 5/8 wide foot so boots have been a huge challenge until now. Thank you guys so much for building the only true mountain boot for big feet all the rest are going in the garbage.

I’ve just started hunting in my new mountain hunter super wide boots and am very satisfied with their performance. I’ve been out archery hunting several days over the last couple weeks and they are very comfortable and feel great to walk in. I am very excited to finally have a pair of comfortable well made hunting boots for seasons to come.
