Custom Boot System

I have been struggling with problem feet my whole life. I am a 4EE fit and could not find anything that would work for me. I am extremely hard on boots and have tried other brands but they either fall apart after a few trips or hurt so bad I have to take them off halfway though a trip. Thank goodness I found Lathrop and Sons. I bought the custom mapping system and James Lathrop worked with me throughout the whole process. We even made a couple tweaks after the boots were sent to me that seriously dialed in the fit. These boots are bulletproof, sturdy, reliable, comfy and the traction is nuts. I can't say enough good things. If you have odd feet like me and are fed up with boots that don't fit and fall apart, Lathrop and Sons is your answer. Worth every penny!

I have used a few different big name boot brands but Lathrop and Sons are the best I have owned. The process was easy and the moment I put the boots on for the first time I knew I was going to be happy with my purchase. These boots were as comfortable, new out of the box, as any previous pair of boots I had ever owned even after they were properly broken in. To date I have many hunts and tons of miles with these boots all with no issues. The one and only critque I have for the boots is the weight. If you are looking for the lightest pair of boots then these might not be right for you. However, if you are looking for outstanding comfort, excellent support, top notch customer service, and high quality boots, then look no further.

I have hunted the high country of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming for decades. I always prepare for the same issue…. Blisters and hotspots. I have tried so many different boots and running shoes to keep coming up with the same results.

This year with two elk tags in my pocket, I decided to go out on a limb and give L&S a shot. From the beginning of the process to hauling a bull 13 miles off the mt. The boots and process have been exceptional!

In 2003 I suffered broken legs, back ribs and severly broken left foot. My heel was shattered and mishapen. It is now about where a normal arch ends toward the rear of my foot. I have most up and down movement in my ankle, but zero side to side flex. All of this and 3 major surgeries on my foot, I can walk but need custom orthodics.
I already owned some Zamberlan boots, but I needed to replace a pair of 15 year old orthodics. I found Lathrop & Sons. Both brothers were involved in the interview, 3d mapping and insole development for my orthodics. The result is astounding. I wish I hand found these gents when I was searching for boots as well. I could not be happier. The older orthodics got me through 119 miles on the Appalachian trail, full packs and all celebrating my recovery. These insoles would have made the trek soooo much more comfortable.
Think about what product they would make for a normal feet. These guys and their expertise were a true Godsend!
