I ordered a custom pair of mountain hunters due to my extra wide foot. Immediately noticed the quality of workmanship and comfort. After wearing them for a few months decided to give them a break for a day to let them dry out on the boot dryer due to how sweaty I had gotten them after a hard day of hunting.
That’s when I really noticed the deference in just how much better they fit my foot and how comfortable they really were. The boots that I wore the day I gave my Lathrop’s a break where high end Italian leather hunting boots that used to be my go to for the last 10 years. My entire life I have struggled with finding a boot that fits my foot and my feet hurting had just became normal. The only problem is now I don’t wanna wear any other type of shoe. My wife thinks I’m ridiculous because I try to clean them up on Sundays so that I can wear them to church. I have been struggling with problem feet my whole life. I am a 4EE fit and could not find anything that would work for me. I am extremely hard on boots and have tried other brands but they either fall apart after a few trips or hurt so bad I have to take them off halfway though a trip. Thank goodness I found Lathrop and Sons. I bought the custom mapping system and James Lathrop worked with me throughout the whole process. We even made a couple tweaks after the boots were sent to me that seriously dialed in the fit. These boots are bulletproof, sturdy, reliable, comfy and the traction is nuts. I can't say enough good things. If you have odd feet like me and are fed up with boots that don't fit and fall apart, Lathrop and Sons is your answer. Worth every penny!

I have used a few different big name boot brands but Lathrop and Sons are the best I have owned. The process was easy and the moment I put the boots on for the first time I knew I was going to be happy with my purchase. These boots were as comfortable, new out of the box, as any previous pair of boots I had ever owned even after they were properly broken in. To date I have many hunts and tons of miles with these boots all with no issues. The one and only critque I have for the boots is the weight. If you are looking for the lightest pair of boots then these might not be right for you. However, if you are looking for outstanding comfort, excellent support, top notch customer service, and high quality boots, then look no further.
