I’m a very picky person when it comes to purchasing hunting equipment, none more important than a high quality pair of boots. I’m a Quality Engineer, so I use the 3 F’s…. Form, Fit and Function to determine if the boots are worth taking a harder look.
Form: L&S boots have a proven design , many of the features have been incorporated by L&S import boots such as HanWag boots…. Their familiarity with other boot designs allowed them to pick the “best or the best” features to make their very own mountain boot.
Fit: Out of the box fit reminds me of a very familiar fit in a tall, rugged, mountain hunting boot. I enjoy a stiffer boot, for my own personal reasons. These boots are exceptionally well suited to side hilling, up and down hill, and for all around comfort while in different shooting positions, no more numb feet. I bought the synergy insoles and I believe they provide more comfort and fitment over the standard option.
Function: The Mountain Hunter boots do what all mountain boots should do…. Provides Protection from damaging your feet, has exceptional fitment, support, and comfort while on long hunting expeditions. Everything feels locked in, feels more like an extension of your feet rather than a clunky and sloppy boot. L&S has produced a high quality boot specifically designed for harsh terrain often seen while hunting.
One other thing that’s very important to me…. L&S goes above and beyond with their customer support services. Before they shipped me the boots, I got a phone call from them to discuss the Whys I bought the boots, and with a lengthy conversation about my feet, and boot fits, we determined that my selection was dead on. Name a boot company that calls you before shipping the boots to educate you about your purchase and why it may or may not be the correct boot for you?
