Enclosed is a picture from my recent hunt in Kygyzstan with my Marco Polo. I want to tell you that the Hanwag boots were GREAT! After ordering them and receiving them I tried them on right out of the box and hiked 6 miles. They felt like I had them for years!
Next stop was Kygyzstan in the Tian Shan mountains. Most of hunt was on horse back but we did have long stalks at high altitudes. Below 0 temps and steep hills were not a problem with these boots. Got this ram with a 700 yard shot up at 16,000 feet.

Thanks Lathrop & Sons! The Hanwag boot system saved my feet! Even the two lengthy Sheep hunts I had previously been on did not compare to the extreme terrain and hunting conditions I encountered hunting for my Mountain Goat. It was the worst hiking and physical exertion I have ever spent during a hunt. In the past I had literally torn apart decent boots while hunting for sheep, the sides would actually shred apart.

Your boots not only kept me safe, but after the torture I put them through, they still look like new! I didn't have any feet pain or a single blister, these boots actually feel better than my tennis shoes as far as comfort and fit goes.

I am enclosing a photo of a bighorn ram I took on Sept. 2nd in B.C. The boots you provided me worked very well and I didn't have my usual assortment of blisters from sidehilling, etc. I must confess that when I first put the boots on I thought they were going to turn out to be too small but after wearing them during the break-in period I became aware that they fit snugly but not tightly and that kind of fit prevents both anterior-posterior and lateral movement of the foot within the boot and thus prevents blistering. Thanks for the superb job of fitting these boots to my feet and ZI intend to use them for many years, including and antelope hunt next month in Montana.
