• Boot Last - European lasts are known for their ability to accomodate an array of feet. This specific last features a generous amount of volume in the forefoot and a very narrow heel.
• Lacing system and hardware - Very little hardware is found on this boot, which helps regulate weight. The lace loops are all sewn leather, with a lightweight plastic lock ring to customize the fit and feel to exact specifications. Four d-rings are located at the top to further enhance the fit and performance.
• Synthetic/leather upper - To reduce weight; the upper is constructed of a blend of sturdy synthetic materials with leather being added at high stress areas.
• Over-the-toe Rand - This hand laid pebbled rand protects the boot's upper from scree and shale. The rand also contributes added strength to the upper and increased stability when traversing mountainous terrain.
•  Full gloveskin leather tongue and collar - Each is perforated to enhance breathability and unsurpassed comfort levels through a unique impact air transfer system.
• Removable footbed - Stock full length footbed can be easily removed during drying. The removable footbed ensures the required depth needed to utilize the Lathrop & Sons customized High Country Footbed.
• Gore-Tex liner - Each boot is fully lined with a 100% waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex bootie, thus keeping your feet dry while also regulating humidity.
• Full length shank - The nylon shank flows from the heel to the toe creating a very rigid yet functional platform. The shank also adds torsional stability and reduces boot collapse while ascending and descending mountainous terrain.
• Polyurethane midsole - Proper heel height and toe spring are made possible due to this unique midsole. The advantages of this are the exceptional forward propulsion and sustained momentum. This midsole is also capable of absorbing excessive shock while providing a stable platform.
• Vibram Fuora outsole - Hardened rubber coupled with agressive cleating allows the wearer to confidently traverse rugged terrain. This sole also has an exceptional abrasion resistance.
